Brandi Glanville, known for her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has been facing ongoing health struggles. Her facial appearance began to change, prompting a long and costly search for answers. Brandi revealed that she spent over six figures trying to discover the root cause and find a cure.
Initially, doctors were puzzled by the changes to her face. Now, there’s growing suspicion that a facial parasite may be to blame. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in December 2024, she explained, “I’ve seen countless doctors and undergone endless testing… I even paid $10,000 for lab work. They’ve tested everything possible. Now they think it might be a parasite. That’s a new theory.”
Brandi believes she might have picked up the parasite while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco, North Africa. “We had food sitting out for hours, including meat,” she said. The symptoms began around July 2023, roughly six months after her return from the trip. Since then, her life has shifted dramatically.
Her health issues have significantly impacted her personal life. She’s withdrawn from social activities and rarely leaves home. “It feels like I’m reliving the COVID-19 lockdown, only this time with even worse side effects,” she told OK! Magazine. “I miss spending time with my friends and being intimate. I’m a Scorpio—I love sex.”
“I used to have an active sex life, and now I haven’t been with anyone. I wonder if I’ve forgotten how to kiss,” she added. “I feel like I’ve lost who I am. I used to feel confident and rarely experienced anxiety. Now, I feel more insecure than ever.”
Brandi expressed a strong desire to return to normal life. “I want to go out again. I want a boyfriend. I want to dance, do photo shoots, and work.” Not being able to work for two years has taken a heavy toll on her. Fortunately, her two sons have been incredibly supportive. “They’re just as frustrated as I am. They can’t believe no one has figured this out yet. It’s been two years,” she said. “They’re going through it too because they’re not getting the best version of their mom.”
“I honestly have the best boys in the world,” she added. “They hug me and tell me I’m beautiful on the inside. They check on me constantly—asking how I slept, how my day is, how my neck feels.”
With continued support and hope, Brandi Glanville looks forward to overcoming her health battle and reclaiming the life she misses so much.
