Earning It’ vs. ‘Redistributing Wealth

Posted on September 2, 2025 By Erica m No Comments on Earning It’ vs. ‘Redistributing Wealth

Upon the highway’s endless stretch, a message caught the eye,
Scrawled bold across an SUV, beneath the open sky.
A phrase both sharp and steadfast, meant to stir the land awake,
A driver’s voice made visible, a stand that few would fake.

“This is America… we don’t redistribute, we earn,” it said,
A creed of self-reliance, where sweat and effort are wed.
The ink upon the window shone with patriotic pride,
A banner on the asphalt, with conviction as its guide.

On Reddit, where the photo spread, the crowd soon found its stage,
With cheers and praise from many who admired the driver’s rage.
“Bold words,” they said, “and worthy, a truth too long suppressed,
A call to honor labor, and the grit that builds success.”

One voice declared with fervor: “To the man who dared this feat,
You speak for countless workers who refuse to face defeat.
Your message should be echoed, your words in fire remain,
To shame the freeload spirits who seek reward without pain.”

But others met the window’s creed with doubt, dissent, and scorn,
For redistribution, they claimed, brings justice newly born.
The wealth of nations, they argued, should balance every scale,
For fairness cannot blossom if privilege tips the tale.

The clash of thoughts grew louder, the comments sharp and raw,
Some saw division deepening, some hailed unyielding law.
To some the phrase was noble, to others harsh and cold,
A mirror of America, where values clash untold.

As voices swirled on platforms wide, the debate refused to sleep,
From every state and city came opinions vast and deep.
The photo turned from simple ink to emblem of the fight,
Of government, of freedom, of who holds wealth’s true right.

The viral storm grew wilder, spreading flames both near and far,
A single phrase igniting more than banners, posts, or spar.
For words etched on a window became a national stage,
Where modern battles simmer with both hope and with outrage.

And so the SUV now rolls, a symbol on the road,
Of questions still unanswered, of burdens still untowed.
For every phrase that’s shouted loud, another voice will rise,
And truth, it seems, is fractured, beneath America’s skies.
